Both of our Amador County wine tasting locations pour the same estate wines. The experience at each one is its own thing though, and knowing the difference helps you plan a better visit.
Sutter Creek | open daily, walk-ins always welcome
Our 1860s Victorian cottage at 73 Main Street is right in the heart of historic Sutter Creek, steps from galleries, restaurants, and seven other Wine on 49 tasting rooms. It is the easiest Bella Grace wine tasting in Amador County to drop into without a plan. Walk-ins are always welcome, the garden patio is one of the most pleasant spots in Gold Country to sit with a glass of Viognier and let the afternoon go long, and we are open every day of the week.
Plymouth estate | the vineyard, the cave, and where the wines are made
Our estate at 22715 Upton Road in Plymouth is where Bella Grace wines are actually grown and made. On weekends, the 58-degree wine cave is open, and the views across the Shenandoah Valley are extraordinary. This is the wine tasting in Amador County for people who want to understand where a great California wine actually comes from. Reservations are recommended on weekends. it helps us make sure everything is ready when you arrive.

Alongside the wines we pour our artisan olive oils, vinegars, and salts at no extra charge. The whole experience is relaxed, unhurried, and genuinely personal. We are a family winery, and you will feel that from the moment you arrive.

Is there a tasting fee?
There is a $15 tasting fee, refundable wiht purchase at both locations. Wine club members receive complimentary tastings at both our Plymouth and Sutter Creek locations. Olive Oil tasting is always free!
Do I need a reservation?
Walk-ins are always welcome in Sutter Creek. At the Plymouth estate we recommend a reservation on weekends — it guarantees your spot and ensures access to the wine cave when it is open.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome at both locations. The outdoor areas at the Plymouth estate and the Sutter Creek garden patio are both great for a dog-friendly afternoon of wine tasting in Amador County.
Can I bring a picnic to the vineyard?
Absolutely at the Plymouth estate. Pack something to eat and enjoy the Shenandoah Valley views. Sina’s Backroads Cafe at 74 Main Street in Sutter Creek is right next door to our tasting room if you want a fresh lunch before or after your visit.
