The brains behind it all...

Sometimes a musician comes to our stage and we can’t help but hold our breath to see what he’ll do next. Although the term “musician” hardly seems to encapsulate Billy J. Walsh properly.

A key player in it’s initial inception, Bella Grace Vineyards is thrilled to have Billy J Walsh as a part of the “Sounds in the Vineyard” music festival happening July 15th at the wine cave. He will be playing an acoustic set as “Billy J Walsh: Friends and Family Plan,” with a song list that is decidedly more jazz than his previous offerings.

For the past 35 years, Walsh has written songs, arranged and engineered albums, produced shows, and preformed live with a few bands - most notably the original country rock band “The Rangers,” who opened for Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Alabama, Merle Haggard, and many other Nashville stars. Recently, The Rangers have recently united under a new name, “The Sky Kings,” playing shows throughout Northern California this summer.

Despite touring the nation, Walsh always finds his way back to the Sierra Foothills. “There is a love and appreciation for music in the Sierra Foothill communities,” Walsh explains. “There is an overwhelming sense of connection to the rich Gold Rush history and natural beauty all around.

“I love modern jazz for its creative and expressive qualities that can take you to another place and time,” Walsh explained.

“I absolutely love live performance and connecting with an audience,” Walsh continues. “One thing that is very special to me is putting together shows that are multi genre. I am excited to be Part of the Sounds in the Vineyards at Bella Grace as we are bringing that variety of Country-Folk, Pop, Americana, Classic Rock, Jazz, and R&B.”

Don’t miss your chance to see Billy J Walsh, along with The Aaron Gayden Band, Danielle Walsh, and Americana band The Random Strangers at Bella Grace Vineyard’s “Sounds in the Vineyard” happening Saturday, July 15 from 5pm-9pm. Admission is $25 ($20 for wine club members) and includes a complimentary glass of wine and Bella Grace logo glass. Pizza, wine and beer will also be available for sale. Lawn chairs are welcome. Seating is limited.

Bella Grace Vineyards is located at 22715 Upton Road in Plymouth. For tickets and more information, please visit or call (209) 267-8053.
